Ocean Heroes

Ocean Heroes is an educational program designed to teach elementary school students the impact oceans have in day to day life, the negative effects of plastic pollution, and the importance of conscious consumption.

Ocean Heroes…

  • Engages students ages 7-10 from public and private schools across Costa Rica and Puerto Rico

  • Leverages multimedia teaching resources such as videos and online toolkits

  • Fosters collaboration between youth and elder populations to transform consumer plastic use habits

  • Has attained recognition from the Clinton Global Initiative as a Commitment to Action

  • Is designed to be replicated globally

Ministry of Education

Our non profit organization is working on signing an agreement with The Ministry of Education for public schools of Costa Rica on an iconic partnership. It will leverage new multimedia teaching resources, including videos and toolkits in a compulsory program, for all students ages 6-10 years old throughout the entirety of Costa Rica. This partnership will foster an even deeper collaboration between 5MBCF and the Costa Rican government. 

This program has been Recognized by the Clinton Global Initiative as a Commitment to Action and is designed to be replicated across regions, especially Puerto Rico.
